Today, we announce with much sadness, that the founder of Hudgins Contracting Corp., Mr. Lester L. Hudgins Jr., passed away on November 21, 2011.

Forty years ago, Hudgins opened its doors and began building a legacy of high quality work, excellent customer service and fair, forthright dealings. These core values represent the leadership of Mr. Hudgins, not only in the day-to-day operations of the business, but throughout the community.

It was his wish that his legacy continue through the current leadership of the Hudgins management team, and that the Company he created should continue to evolve to meet industry challenges and demands.

Mr. Hudgins' generosity, kindness, charity work, love for his family, and love of the community will be greatly missed by all of us at the Hudgins Contracting Corp. family.

The obituary was posted in the November 24th newspaper. A memorial service will be held Friday December 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in downtown Hampton, with a celebration of his life to follow from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Hampton Yacht Club.
